Teacher participates in international Tourism Congress

Claudia Rodríguez, professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences, participated as a speaker at the III International Congress Coodtur: ' Tourism for local development and conservation ', which took place on 22, 23 and 24 June in the province of Heredia, Costa Rica.

 
The exhibitor presented ' Guasca Turística: Case Study on a destination with a projection of sustainability ', a paper that highlighted this Colombian municipality as an object of study, for its heritage, eco tourism, Muisca indigenous cultural heritage and cultural tourism.
 

The event was held on the occasion of the ' International Year of sustainable tourism ' declared by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
